The Kef Reference 3 Speakers are the smallest floorstander in the Reference range. They contain the same DNA as the larger Reference 5, but are housed in a more modest cabinet. A fantasitc speaker that is adept to either home cinema or high end 2 channel HiFi systems, allowing you to enjoy movies or music in your home. The Reference 3 Speakers generate an intricate, totally natural-sounding 3D soundstage.

To celebrate KEF's heritage, they commissioned two bespoke editions of the latest Reference range. With two striking special finishes - Blue Ice White, and the Copper Black Aluminium finish you can see pictured - the Kent Engineering & Foundry editions combine the latest Reference technology with a sublime unique finish.

The Kef Reference 3 Speakers come equipped with KEF's new version of the Uni-Q driver. With a state-of-the-art 25mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at the exact acoustic centre of a highly sophisticated 125mm 5 inch mf hf Uni-Q driver, both act together to deliver a sound that fills your listening space with a flawless natural sound.

A new 165mm bass driver sets the Kef Reference 3 a class apart. With a massive vented magnet assembly and a large aluminium wire voice coil driving an exceptionally light, stiff and strong alloy cone, the dynamics and power handling are superb.

The flexible port technology used in the award winning LS50 has been further refined and is now present in the Kef Reference 3 Speakers. Designed for fine-tuning the bass output to your personal taste and the room characteristics. The flexible port technology has a profile of each port calculated by computational fluid dynamics, this is done to avoid turbulent air noise that might colour the sound.

The Kef Reference 3 Speakers crossover is built with the highest grade components the KEF engineers could find that offered the lowest distortion and the smoothest response. Nothing has been overlooked, the Reference 3 crossovers are mounted on separate boards and decoupled from the cabinet walls to minimise vibration and crosstalk.

The Reference 3 Speaker cabinets have been finished by hand in pair matched wood veneers. Computer optimised the Kef Reference cabinets are designed to absorb residual vibrations, eliminate any panel resonance and cabinet colouration.
